Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest, and TikTok are just some of the social media platforms out there today.  As a Fitness Trainer, you can utilize social media to build your brand, gain new clients in person, online, brand deals, affiliate marketing, etc. How do you know which platform will be the right fit for you and your business?

  1. Do your research. Look at your target audience and research the different platforms to gain insights on their demographic.
  2. Do NOT make assumptions. TikTok is currently trending but the assumption behind TikTok is that only teens are using it. That is FALSE. The majority of TikTok users are over 20 years old.
  3. Do NOT only use one form of social media. You can utilize all the social media platforms for your business and use each of them strategically towards your business. Facebook would be a great place to create private clubs for members of your fitness community. Instagram could be a great place to build your brand and reach out to activewear companies, nutrition companies, etc and increase your salary through affiliate marketing. TikTok could be a place where you could create fitness content, exercise tips, healthy food tips, and generate sales leads through there.
